Pennsylvania Speed Week
On July 5th, the team headed out to Pennsylvania for speed week. The first race was at Linda Speedway in Jonestown, PA. Jonathan finished 3rd in his heat. He was struggling because the car was real loose. The team went to work and they thought they had the loose problem fixed. The track turned into one lane, tip toe around the bottom of the speedway. He started 16th in feature and worked his way up to 8th as there were more cautions he started slowly slipping backwards. He slowly came across the finish line running in 12th place. [Read More]
Success at Tristate Speedway
J&J Hendrick Motorsports Team headed out Saturday morning to Haubstadt, Indiana. They took both midget and the micro. Jonathan only made the feature in the micro. He ran strong in the midget b-main. Jonathan's goal was to make both features. Jonathan started 5th in the micro feature. On the second to last lap, Jonathan took the lead from Derek King. Jonathan lead the remaining two laps, and took the win at Tri-state Speedway. He did not succeed in accomplishing his goal. The J&J Hendrick Team took off Saturday morning to Bellclaire Speedway In Belleville IL. Running two cars this week Jonathan had his hands full. 22nd Annual Tulsa Shoot-Out
Christmas Day the J&J Hendrick racing team left for the Tulsa Shootout. After finishing 4th last year Hendrick set his sights on the "Big Prize!" But with a record number of cars 459 and 110 multi and non wing cars that was going to be easier said then done. Jonathan was also running two cars this year running both wing and non wing. Sunday October 8, 2006 at Tri-city Speedway
The team had a 40 minute drive to get to the Tri City speedway and got their plenty early to get the car prepared for the final race of the 2006 Powri season. The day started out with only 50 cars but was still going to be a good and tough night of racing. [Read More]
